Detalles de "The Dancer and the Moon", lo nuevo de BLACKMORE'S NIGHT para 2013

Ritchie Blackmore y Candice Night -o mejor dicho BLACKMORE'S NIGHT para los amigos- están de vuelta con su álbum número 8 bajo el nada sorprendente título "The Dancer and the Moon".

La fecha de salida en Europa está prevista para el próximo 14 de junio, por vez primera a través del sello italiano Frontiers Records, cuya edición será de CD estándar y digipack doble conteniendo además un DVD con vídeos musicales y entrevistas.

Unas semanas antes que "The Dancer and the Moon" esté en las tiendas, el día 6 de mayo podremos conformarnos escuchando su correspondiente primer single llamado "The Moon is Shining (Somewhere Over the Sea)", el cual solamente será editado en formato digital

Por encima de las nuevas composiciones destacan las versiones de "Lady in Black" (Uriah Heep), "I Think It's Going to Rain Today" (Randy Newman) y "The Temple of the King" (Rainbow), filtrados por su particular sonido de folk-rock renacentista. La pieza que cierra el trabajo es una dedicatoria al fallecido Jon Lord, teclista y fundador junto a Blackmore, de los legendarios Deep Purple.

Novedades sobre BLACKMORE'S NIGHT

La formación de folk rock medieval BLACKMORE'S NIGHT, que como todos sabréis a estas alturas la lideran el matrimonio formado por el mítico guitarrista Ritchie Blackmore y su hermosa esposa Candice Night, están a punto de lanzar un nuevo directo en CD/LP/DVD y Blu-ray titulado "A Knight in York", que saldrá a la venta el 29 de este mes en Europa. La portada, algo parecida a su "Castles & Dreams" de 2005, la podéis ver bajo estas líneas...

La pareja que se llevan unos considerables 26 años de edad, han anunciado que el pasado 7 de febrero fueron padres por 2ª vez en menos de dos años, esta vez de un niño al que han bautizado con el curioso nombre de Rory Dartanyan (su hermanita se llama Autumn Esmeralda). Candice ha publicado algunas fotos en su página oficial y el respectivo comunicado sobre el bebé:

"June is now upon us...its been warm and rainy with the mists of time hanging heavy over us here on the island. Though with rain comes the magic of rainbows and we have had our share of them here recently... true miracles before our eyes!

As I speak of miracles, I feel it is now a good time to let you all in on a secret.  An absolute miracle that we experienced a few months ago. On February 7th of this year, Ritchie and I welcomed a beautiful baby boy to this world.

His name is Rory Dartanyan and he is such an incredibly sweet spirit! His sister is so excited to have a little brother and our family is now complete. 2 adults, 2 children and 2 cats. A full house! And of course, in celebration, music is filling the air.... So, yes, we now have our little gypsy girl with
Autumn Esmerelda and our very own musketeer in Rory Dartanyan..."
